During her Kindergarten math investigations block she is insisting that scholars build the habit now so that they become automatic by the end of the 6th week of school. Notice how she is intentionally supporting the elements of habits she sees scholars need targeted practice with: SLANT/Posture with focus on hands right on top of lap, tracking while moving, tracking a friend, turning neck and not entire body, and silent hands with a helper hand in lap, other arm elbow to ear, waiting for cue (*snap*).
